Camino Francés

A lot of planing and preparation went into my camino and some of it even turned out to be useful. I made mistakes along the way. I spent much time learning language skills though I learnt the wrong language. I walked many miles in training then bought new boots two weeks before departure. I allowed thirty-eight days and then completed the main camino walk in twenty-four days.

The start of my Camino Francés nearly went wrong as my first instinct was to turn left - not right - as I left the pilgrim office. Luckily a sign on the door guided me and future signs guided me for the full five hundred miles and beyond. Click here for the story as far as Sarria.
